“They’re Getting Married Again?”
For the student-run production “They’re Getting Married Again?”, I worked as the Social Media and Marketing Manager as well as the Graphic Designer, focusing on how the show was presented both online and in physical spaces around campus and the southern California area. I designed promotional graphics and print materials, photographed rehearsals and performances, and edited photo and video content reflective of the cast and show. I also managed the production’s Instagram, planning and curating posts throughout the rehearsal and performance process. Collaborating closely with directors, writers, and editors taught me how design functions within a team environment and how thoughtful visual decisions can directly shape audience interest and turnout.
What is “TGMA?”
“They're Getting Married Again?” is a student-built comedy at Biola University that takes place ninety minutes before a wedding. It follows maid of honor Evelyn Adler as she navigates a series of chaotic obstacles, from an unconscious groom to a missing priest, blending humor with heartfelt moments about love, reconciliation, and second chances. This production was Biola Theatre’s first “all student and alumni” show and featured professional stunt coordination by Marc Schaffer.
My Role!
For “They're Getting Married Again?”, I designed all promotional graphics and coordinated both print and digital production visuals. I led the show’s Instagram strategy, creating and scheduling content, capturing rehearsal photos, and supervising video production. I also directed creative collaboration with editors, writers, and producers, organized show logistics, and executed marketing campaigns across campus and external networks, helping the production achieve a record full-house opening night. Additionally, I applied these strategies to four subsequent large-capacity shows, ensuring consistent audience engagement and successful marketing outcomes.
My Designs & Photography!
I designed all visual assets for the production, including social media graphics, posters, and printed tickets. My work also included show pins and a custom family tree page featured in the playbill. In addition, I contributed to editing videography shared on the account and photographed rehearsals, live performances, and set visuals to capture the atmosphere and overall visual identity of the production.
Audience Engagement
Here captures the community that grew around the show! Audience members & followers tagged the Instagram I created to share the ticket designs I created, post fan art of the characters, and show their love for the production and its overall visual style.
